个人简介
José Antonio Navío is Full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Seville. He is currently Emeritus Professor at the University of Seville. The Curriculum Vitae of Dr. José Antonio Navío, presents a wide, varied and recognised experience in teaching and research activities as well as in management. Thus, in the 13 three-year periods of recognised seniority, he has to his credit the recognition of 6 research periods 8 teaching merits d the recognition of the 5 regional periods (which are the maximum recognised).
Since 1988 he has been Head of the Research Group called "Heterogeneous Photocatalysis: applications", recognised and subsidised by the Department of Innovation, Science and Enterprise of the Andalusian Regional Government. The research activities of this group focus on the synthesis and characterisation of semiconductor materials in powder form with photocatalytic properties for environmental applications. The group is integrated in the Research Unit "Catalysis for the Environment and Energy" of the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMSE). WEB page: http://materphotocat.ciccartuja.es
The following lines of research establish the scientific interests of the research group headed by Dr. J. A. Navío
i) Heterogeneous photocatalysis: strategies for the synthesis and optimisation of efficient photocatalysts for environmental applications.
Within the framework of heterogeneous photocatalysis, strategies based on solvent synthesis will be implemented and novel methodologies (mechanochemistry) will be addressed in the search for sustainable alternatives to conventional synthetic routes for the synthesis and optimisation of materials with high and efficient photocatalytic activity. The interest of the synthesised materials is directed towards their applications as photocatalysts, under conditions of direct solar illumination, for the treatment of natural waters contaminated by textile dyes and emerging pollutants (antibiotics or drugs) or waters infected by pathogenic microorganisms, oriented towards real water decontamination and/or disinfection systems.
ii) Development of heterostructured materials based on biochars with photofunctional properties for applications in water decontamination and disinfection processes. Approach to real systems.
This line of research will address the coupling or support of heterostructured photocatalysts with biochars of different characteristics, as a way of revalorising different types of biomass, with the aim of providing them with a greater surface area and increasing their efficiency and stability for their applications as photocatalysts, improving their absorption capacity, narrowing the band-gap where the biochar can act as a photosensitiser, improving electron transport, allowing better separation of the photogenerated carriers, prolonging their useful life and providing stabilisation and photostabilisation to the systems.
In the field of research, he has more than 215 scientific articles published in journals of recognised international prestige for their impact index, location in the area of the journals and number of citations, with an index H=55 (obtained from the Scopus database, ( https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=7004654969 ), as well as the direction of several research projects, a patent and participation in more than 50 National Congresses and 120 International Congresses, both as a Speaker and Member of the Scientific Committee, which has led to the recognition of five six-year research periods.
Dr. J.A. Navio is within the rankings corresponding to the different areas of resident researchers in Spain according to their H indexes (ISI-DIH). Available at: http://indice-h.webcindario.com. The definitive ranking recently published by the University of Seville (CRAI) with the 3567 profiles, which have some document published in Scopus, Dr. J.A. Navio, of the 3567 profiles, occupies in the GLOBAL position the Nº 18, by the number of citations of his articles, and the Nº 2 both in the area of Inorganic Chemistry and in the Dept. of Inorganic Chemistry of the 45 members that make it up.

In the teaching platform, he has taught a wide and varied range of subjects in First and Second Cycle, Free Configuration Credits, Doctorate and Master's Courses, all within the framework of subjects in the area of Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Science. He has given several lectures for teachers and students, in foreign and national Universities,
In terms of management, which should be a tool and not an end in itself, in addition to having held the position of Vice-Director of the ICMS, he has held several academic positions of a unipersonal nature, belonging to the Boards of the Faculties of Chemistry and Physics of the University of Seville. Dr. J.A. Navio is a Member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Nanomaterials", (impact index, 5.719)
