Bio
I am a veterinarian from the department of health of Americana, São Paulo, Brazil. I have experience in Public Health with emphasis in the control of zoonosis, health surveillance of food, epidemiologic surveillance (Rabies, Leptospirosis and Brazilian Spotted Fever), medical entomology, veterinary parasitology, control and management of scorpions, management of wildlife and neotropical fish diseases.
In 2005, I began a research on the control of the scorpion population (Tityus serrulatus) in urban areas of the Americana city, through use of ultraviolet light as facilitator of mechanical control.
In 2006, I assumed the role of technical manager for the program for surveillance and control of ticks, with technical activities aimed at surveillance of Brazilian Spotted Fever.
In 2011, I defended dissertation on the epidemiological diagnosis of infectivity for Rickettsia rickettsii in Amblyomma spp. in the city of Americana, obtaining Master degree in Sustainable Animal Production, by the Animal Science Institute.
As result of the work, I received in 2010, the Award Alexandre Vranjac as 1st place in the area of Epidemiological Surveillance in the 21st Century, by the Center of Epidemiological Surveillance Alexandre Vranjac.
In 2017, I defended thesis in Agricultural Microbiology, in the University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP), through research on biological and chemical activities among isolates of filamentous fungi and scorpions Tityus serrulatus.
