个人简介
Joerg Opitz studied physics at the Technical University in Dresden and there he received his diploma (1998) and PhD (2002) in theoretical physics in the field of density functional theory based electronic structure calculations of multilayer magnetic systems. From 2002 until 2007 he worked as a postdoc in the field of Bionanotechnology at the Max Bergmann Center of Biomaterials in Dresden. Since 2007 he employed in the Fraunhofer Institute of Nondestructive Testing (IZFP) in Dresden in different positions (since 2012: Division Director for Structural & Medical Health Monitoring, Quality Assurance). The scientific work at IZFP includes bio-medical diagnostics for viruses and cancer, high-resolution near field Raman and confocal fluorescence microscopy, nanodiamonds and the utilization as nanoagents for surface modification and bio-medical applications, surface plasmon resonance and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy and surface characterisation with AFAM and ellipsometry.
