Bio
I am a marine biologist with broad research interests. In recent years, my research has focused on how climate change affects the fitness and survival of marine organisms as well as their adaptations. Apart from marine biology, I am also interested in environmental science and study the impacts of emerging pollutants on the environment and human health.
I am passionate in scientific writing and have developed useful skills to increase the quality of manuscripts.
Climate change biology
- How ocean acidification, warming and hypoxia affect the fitness and survival of marine organisms.
- How ocean acidification and warming (or other stressors) affect calcifying organisms and their compensatory responses from the perspectives of physiology, geochemistry and materials science.
- Resilience of marine ecosystems to climate change and pollution (e.g. eutrophication, microplastics, persistent organic pollutants, etc.)
Environmental science
- Behaviour and biological risk of anthropogenic pollutants (e.g. heavy metals, pesticides, flame retardants and endocrine disrupting chemicals) in the environment.
- Potential strategies to remediate the contaminated environment.
