个人简介
Jonathan received his B.S. in Bioengineering from Rice University and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences & Experimental Therapeutics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. During his Ph.D. work, Jonathan concentrated his efforts on characterizing the degradation, compatibility, and targeting of multistage nano vectors yielding publications in prestigious journals such as Small and Biomaterials. In addition, Jonathan has distinguished himself for providing expertise for time lapse imaging and confocal microscopy leading to be included as an author in publications within Nature Nanotechnology, Small, and ACS Nano.
Jonathan joined the HMRI as a postdoctoral fellow in the summer of 2014, and began expanding his skills to develop animal experiments and noninvasive longitudinal imaging techniques to investigate how nanoneedles impact the site of injection, evaluate if they trigger an immune reaction, and determining the delivery of fluorescent and nanoparticle payloads and release kinetics. These efforts culminated in the publication of two high impact papers in Nature Materials and ACS Nano.
Jonathan's current research involves evaluating the use of biomimetic nanoparticles for cancer applications, investigating the feasibility of cell-based therapies combined with nanotechnology, and understanding the role of nanoinjection for the delivery of payloads to relevant cells.
