Bio
While minerals are a very common material in everyday's life, the early stage of crystallisation called nucleation - the formation of the very first ordered phase - is poorly understood. Additionally, key factors like the ions' speciation, thermodynamic and kinetic parameters have a direct effect of this complex process.
My research aims to draw a general framework for the explanation of poorly understood nucleation events in various fields such as geology, material science or neurosciences.
