个人简介
National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center's Arecibo Observatory, he conducted research on various aspects of atmospheric radar physics. During 1997-2002 he investigated atmospheric waves, turbulence, and scalar advection, and taught a class on the Earth's climate. His recent work has focused on advanced signal processing algorithms for weather radars, systems analysis of multifunction phased array radars, and modeling weather effects for air traffic management. Dr. Cho has published 47 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature and Physical Review Letters. Honors received include the R&D 100 Editors' Choice Award, US/Europe ATM R&D Seminar Best Paper Award, CEDAR Prize from the National Science Foundation, Young Scientist Award from the International Union of Radio Science, and Group Achievement Award from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the American Geophysical Union.
