Bio
2015-2018: Bachelor in "Biology" at the University of Kaiserslautern
Bachelor thesis in the department of Human Biology (Prof. Stefan Kins) about glypicans affecting APP aggregation.
2018-2020: Master in "Molecular Cell Biology" at the University of Kaiserslautern.
Master thesis in the department of Cell Biology (Prof. M. Herrmann) about the role of the ubiquitin conjugase Ubc8 in mitochondrial biogenesis.
2020-now: PhD in the department of Cell Biology at the University of Kaiserslautern (Prof. M. Herrmann).
Topic of my Phd: In a genetic screen we found that the cytosolic ubiquitin conjugase Ubc8 is crucial to prevent cytosolic accumulation of mitochondrial precursors. The aim of my Phd is to unreveal the unexpected link between Ubc8 and mitochondrial biogenesis.
06/2022-now: Member of the graduate college Kaiserslautern (RTG2737) STRESSistance. We study cellular responses to various stress conditions in different organisms.
