个人简介
Nanoporous Materials for Adsorption and Catalysis.
The adsorption of gases and vapours in porous solids aiming to study the texture, surface chemistry, and molecular sieve properties of nanoporous materials, mainly zeolites, pillared clays and metal organic frameworks are the current scientific interests of João Pires. His work also includes the synthesis and modification of the textural and surface chemistry properties of nanoporous materials with potential use: (i) in catalysis and selective adsorption; (ii) for storage and slow release of small molecules with terapeutic effect such as nitric oxide or hydrogen sulfyde.
His h-index is 37 and he is presently moving from Centro de Química e Bioquímica (CQB) to the Centro of Química Estrutural (CQE) of the University of Lisbon.
He his co-founder (2018) of the start-up company Delox Lda. (www.delox.pt)
