个人简介
Joana Teresa Rodrigues Martins completed her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering in 2012 by University of Minho (UMinho), School of Engineering; Master in Food Science and Technology in 2011 by Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Escola Superior de Biotecnologia and graduated in Microbiology in 2004 by Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Escola Superior de Biotecnologia, Porto. From 2014 to 2018, she was a Postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB), UMinho. Since December 2018, she is a Junior Researcher in CEB, UMinho. She is an Invited Professor (since 2018) at the Department of Biological Engineering, UMinho. She works in the area(s) of Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Food Science and Technology. She published 35 papers (and 2 papers under review) in indexed international peer reviewed journals (h-index: 23; more than 2882 citations - source: Scopus), 6 book chapters, 1 edited book and more than 45 contributions in international conference proceedings (including oral/poster communications and papers). She presented invited lectures in international and national seminars and workshops. She has been involved on working in a team environment, participating on different national and international networks such as UNGAP COST action (CA16205). She has experience on developing/writing scientific and technological projects for national (e.g., FCT and ANI) and international (e.g. Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe 2021-2027, funded by the European Commission; and CYTED - Ibero-American Scientific and Technological Program) calls. She participates and/or participated as Researcher (Team member - coordination and execution of tasks) in 6 R&D projects mainly on Food Science & Technology area. She has supervised/co-supervised 3 PhD and 8 MSc students. In her professional activities interacted with more than 190 collaborators co-authorship of scientific papers. Also, she participated as a jury member on 17 MSc Thesis. She is an Associate Editor of Sustainable Food Processing, a section within Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems. She organized 2 international scientific conferences, she was a member of 2 scientific committees, participated in several scientific-related outreach activities (students and general public science dissemination) and she was invited to present lectures in workshops and seminars. She contributed as a referee for more than 25 international scientific publications in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Bioprocess Technology and Polymer Science areas.
