Bio
My particular interest is focused in the fields of erosion and sediment yield and tracing. Catchment studies have focused on establishing sediment budgets and quantifying sediment sources in Mediterranean fluvial systems. Particular emphasis has been placed on the use of electronic sensors (i.e. turbidity probes) as the base for hydrometric nested networks, as well as environmental radionuclides (i.e. Cs-137) as sediment tracers. The hydrological and sediment connectivity in contrasting Mediterranean catchments affected by global change impacts –especially wildfires– on hydrology is currently the research topic under investigation.
