Bio
Dr. Shi's research focuses on “Advanced & Sustainable Concrete Materials” enabled by (I) Accelerated curing of cement-based materials [i.e., steam curing, CO2 curing and direct electric curing]; (II) Advanced Concrete Materials [e.g., foamed concrete, PCM-based concrete, engineered/strain-hardening cementitious composites (ECC/SHCC), self-healing concrete, ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC), alkali-activated materials (AAM), and cement emulsified asphalt mortar], and (III) Eco-friendly Concrete Materials [e.g., magnesium-based cement, reuse of C&D waste, and recycling of other solid waste (sludge and MSWIFA)].
