Jinsul Kim (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Utah at Salt Lake City, UT, USA, in 1998, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in digital media engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2004 and 2008, respectively. Previously, he was a Researcher with the Broadcasting Telecommunications Convergence Research Division, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon, from 2004 to 2009, and was a Professor with Korea Nazarene University, Cheonan-si, South Korea, from 2009 to 2011. He is currently a Professor with Chonnam National University, Gwangju, South Korea. He is a member of the Korean National Delegation for ITU-T SG13 International Standardization. He has participated in various national research projects and domestic and international standardization activities. He is also the Co-Research Director of the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Hub Research and Development Project hosted by Korea University and the Director of the G5-AICT Research Center.
