Bio
Jingyu Liu (Member, IEEE) received the master’s degree in electrical engineering from Northern Jiaotong University, Beijing, China, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from The University of New Mexico (UNM), Albuquerque, NM, USA, in 2004.
She is currently an Associate Professor of translational neuroscience with The Mind Research Network, Albuquerque, NM, USA, and a Research Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UNM. Her current research interests include the design of multimodel data mining algorithms applied to biomedical data, such as brain imaging and signals, genetic and epigenetic data, clinical and neuropsychological assessments, and so on. She has been focusing on the interdisciplinary research field to bridge engineering with neuroscience and has led investigations of genetic influences on brain anomalies related to schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, addiction, and Huntington’s disease.
