Jian-Liang Lin

Jian-Liang Lin was born in I-Lan, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1975. He received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Fu Jen Catholic University, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1997, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in communication engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1999 and 2006, respectively. He was a Visiting Student at the University of Washington, Seattle, from March 2004 to March 2005. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., where he served as a Research Assistant from 1999 to 2005. His research interests include matching pursuits, image and video processing, as well as multimedia compression and transmission.
