Jiahui Chen

I am a postdoc research fellow with 4 years of experience in the field of development and clinical translation of new PET tracers for the central nervous system, construction, and evaluation of neuroinflammatory and degenerative disease modes, with extensive knowledge and skills in in-vitro and in-vivo models’ evaluation. I have a broad background in chemical biology, with specific training expertise in the development of small molecule probes and characterization techniques for cell biology in my PhD research. As a postdoc research fellow working with Prof. Steven Liang at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, I led the studies focused on central nervous system PET tracer development, including the AMPA tracers ([11C]AMPA1905 and [18F]AMPA2019), P2X purinoceptor 7 tracers ([18F]JNJ-64413739), and cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase 4B tracers ([18F]PDE4B-8 and ([18F] PDE4B-10). In addition to tracer development, I also construct animal models of neuroinflammation and Alzheimer’s disease for PET Imaging and biological systemic evaluation. I successfully administered the projects, collaborated with other researchers, and produced several peer-reviewed publications as lead author. As a result of these previous experiences, my research has involved the fields of medicinal chemistry, radiochemistry, PET imaging, and neurobiology. I am familiar with the process of the development of novel PET tracers, including PET tracer design, organic synthesis, pharmacological evaluations, radiolabeling, and in vitro/in vivo evaluations of PET tracers with the disease model.
