Bio
Jiqing Peng is an associate professor and master's supervisor in College of Life Science and Technology, Central South University of Forestry Science and Technology (CSUFT). He is mainly engaged in the collection and evaluation of ornamental plant resources, germplasm innovation and analysis of important trait formation mechanisms. In recent years, he has been focusing on the excavation of key transcription factors for flower colour formation in infertile flowers of hydrangea, and revealing the molecular mechanism of flower colour formation in infertile flowers of hydrangea at the molecular level. He has been in charge of and participated in the 948 Project, the Central Finance Forestry Science and Technology Promotion Demonstration Project, and the Hunan Provincial Key Research and Development Programme. He has published more than 30 papers in Frontiers in plant science and other journals, and has won one Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. He has served as a reviewer for Industrial Crops and Products and other academic journals.
