Jesús Miranda-Páez (male) is PhD in Psychology. Director of the Chair of Security, Emergencies and Catastrophes of the University of Malaga. Full Professor in Dept. of Psychobiology and Methodology of Behavioral Sciences at the University of Malaga. He has author of different publications in the field of Psychology and Health Sciences. Academic Director of the postgraduate studies Master in Counseling and Intervention in emergencies, emergencies and catastrophes; from 2006 to the present. Director and organizer at the University of Malaga of 15 annual conferences on Safety, Emergencies and Catastrophes accompanied by large-scale tactical exercises on simulation of catastrophe in multiple scenarios.
Some research projects in the field of emergencies and security in which he participates or has participated as a researcher.
The following solutions have emerged from research on pandemic management (COVID19) and optimising preventive measures:
- Elaboration of COVID19 transmission hazard mapping in urban spaces oriented to the application of anti-propagation measures at a detailed scale (INSTITUTO DE SALUD CARLOS III of Spain).
- Refresher and training seminar on Protective measures to reduce the risk of contagion and the reduce the risk of contagion and spread of the disease COVID-19 to workers of UTE Caminito del Rey, as well as the elaboration of a report on as well as the elaboration of a report on Hygienic and Sanitary Measures against Biological Risks (SARS COV-2) in the natural environment of the Caminito del Rey.

The results of research in the field of intervention and assistance in emergencies and disasters can be seen in the following applications:
- Evaluation of 5G communications in emergency and rescue applications and Evaluation of the application of cloud robotics using 5G in emergency and rescue operations. (Vodafone Spain-UMA)
- Multi-robot system for cooperation with human and canine first response rescue teams in disaster scenarios (Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness).
- Infrastructure for the Area of Experimentation in New Technologies for Intervention in Emergencies (Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness)
- Improvement of the methodology for the integration of the human factor in security analysis and assessments. (INECO company)
- Report for the implementation and improvement of the integrated security system for the El Caminito del Rey natural environment (Funding companies and organisations: UTE Hermanos Campano-Bobastro S.A. Diputación Provincial de Málaga).
- Drafting of a Guide for the preparation of a Contingency Plan for multiple simultaneous scenarios in the province of Malaga, within the framework of the activities of the Chair of Security, Emergencies and Disasters. Miranda-Páez, Jesús (University of Malaga and Malaga Provincial Council).
He has been a member of several scientific committees, among them:
