My interests lie at the intersection of research and social policy, with a particular focus on how early childhood education and family support programs can promote low-income children’s development. I am particularly interested in policies and programs that support at-risk families to promote their children’s school readiness, including through increasing parents’ income, employment and education, their parenting skills, or their engagement with their children’s education. I conduct secondary data analysis to understand influences on children's development and intervention research that aims to improve children’s outcomes by changing the family context.
