Bio
J. Todd Hastings (M’97) received the B.S. degree in physics from Centre College, Danville, KY, USA, in 1996, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2003.
He is the Gill Associate Professor in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA, where he also serves as the Assisting Director of the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering, and the Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Materials. His research interests include optical, electron-beam, and scanning-probe-based nanofabrication techniques with applications in optical and electrochemical sensing.
Dr. Hastings is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development award and the DARPA Young Faculty Award.
