Bio
Jean-René Poirier received the Engineering Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA), Toulouse, France, in 1996 and 2000, respectively. From 1997 to 2000, he was a Ph.D. student at ONERA, Palaiseau, France.
From 2001 to 2003, he was with the Analysis and Scientific Computing Group, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. In 2009, he joined the Laboratoire Plasma et Conversion d’Energie (LAPLACE), Toulouse. He is currently an Associate Professor with INPT ENSEEIHT, Toulouse. His current research interests include computational electromagnetics, rough surface scattering, homogenization, fast solvers for boundary element method, and low-rank tensors.
