个人简介
Jean-Pierre Poulain, is professor in sociology and anthropology at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès (France). He conducts research on sociology of food, focusing on the changes of eating patterns, their links with health and food crises in the frame of CERTOP (Research Center on Work, Organizations and Policies) a unit of CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) and university of Toulouse. He currently holds the Chair of Food Studies, “Food, Cultures and Health”, jointly created by the University of Toulouse and Taylor’s University (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). Among his many publications are The Sociology of Food: Eating and the Place of Food in Society (2017) London, Bloomsbury, and the Dictionnaire des cultures alimentaires, (2018), Paris, Presses Universitaires de France.
