Dr. Jayatee Chakraborty Bhattacharya, is a born and brought up of Steel City, Durgapur, said to be the second capital of the state of West Bengal, India. She had done her schooling from one of the best schools named as Girls' Multipurpose High School, popularly called G.M.P.S during her time. She also did her senior secondary from Bidhan Chandra Institution, the contemporary best institute for this level. Dr. Bhattacharya completed her Graduation with English (Honours) from Durgapur Government College in the year 1999 and post graduation in English Literature from Burdwan University in the year 2001.
Dr. Bhattacharya's teaching career started with D.A.V Model School, Durgapur, which was at that time in second position among rest of the schools of the group across the country. While teaching here she completed her B.Ed from Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, New Delhi, affiliated under C.B.S.E and was soon invited to do a course on Training the Teachers for Business English Certification under Cambridge University organized by the British Council, Kolkata. After completion of this course she never required to look back.
Dr. Bhattacharya soon in the year 2002 got an appointment as an Assistant Lecturer in D.S.M.S, Durgapur. Within a few years she was promoted to the post of Lecturer for her good performance. In the year 2007, she joined N.S.H.M Knowledge Campus, Durgapur as a Senior Lecturer and again after a few years was promoted to the post of Assistant Professor for her outstanding performance. During this period Dr. Bhattacharya also enrolled herself as a research scholar under Netaji Subhas University, Kolkata where she started working under the topic of "Marriage and Womanhood in the Contemporary Indian English Novels by Women: A Feminist Approach".
In the year 2012 Dr. Bhattacharya submitted her thesis finally and left Durgapur for the first time in her life to join C.M.C, Delhi, as a Corporate Trainer of English Language and Soft Skills. After working for there for three years she got an offer from IET, Bhaddal, near Chandigarh as an Associate Professor of Business Communication. She worked there for more than a year and then joined Lovely Professional University near Jalandhar, Punjab as Associate Professor of English (Language and Literature) in the year 2016 as by then she was already awarded her Ph.D degree. After working for about 2 years, due to her outstanding performance she was promoted to the post of Professor but unfortunately due to her then urgent family requirement at Delhi, she had to quit her job as Professor in LPU, Punjab and had to join in the post of Associate Professor in Amity University Uttar Pradesh at Noida.
Dr. Bhattacharya currently is working with Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) from the past 3 years and is deputed with multiple responsibilites. She is presently operating as one of the Chief Business Communication Resources for the entire basket of Courses across the entire campus of Amity. Apart from this Dr. Bhattacharya is also one of the core members of the Internal Subject Expert Panel for the dissertation viva conducted for the M.A & M. Phil students in Amity Institute of English Studies & Research (AIESR) under Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP). Here also she is assigned with the teaching responsibility of UGC course work to the Ph.D. scholars in Amity Institute of English Studies & Research (AIESR) under Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP). She is also providing guidance to the Non-Technical Credit courses (NTCC) along with that of Guided Self-Study courses (GSSC) to the students enrolled under the University across the entire campus. Dr. Bhattacharya is simultanoeously providing guidance to two scholars pursuing M.Phil (English) & six scholars pursuing Ph.D. (English) in AIESR under AUUP. She is presently working as the Ph.D. Co-Ordinator & Chairperson Ph.D. Committee, Member Secretary of NTCC Committee, Member of Area Advisory Board Committee & Chairperson Library Committee of Amity Institute of English Studies & Research (AIESR) under Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP).
