Jason E. Mitchell received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN, USA, in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, USA, in 2002 and 2014, respectively. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor with the Mechanical Engineering Department, Vanderbilt University. His research interests include design and control of mechanical devices including prosthetics, surgical robotics, and medical devices.
