个人简介
Jasmine works with human and non-human food system actors to create more sustainable ways of producing food and enhancing above and below ground biodiversity. She uses innovative social and artistic research methods. She is currently undertaking this work as a JSPS Research Fellow with the UN University Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) and the University of Tokyo Institute of Future Initiatives (IFI). She was previously a researcher at the Countryside and Community Research Institute, before which she worked on the Innovative Farmers Programme (Soil Association). She is on the Board of the CSA Network UK and is undertaking a project on capturing the impact (social, environmental & economic) of CSAs.
Jasmine has a PhD in bulk and molecular soil organic carbon dynamics across rainforest-savannah boundaries in the Amazon, Guyana. She has also worked in Japan on organic and cooperative farm projects.
Jasmine is interested in how different cultures use and understand soil across the world. She is passionate about spreading the importance of soil health through theatrical storytelling, interactive workshops, writing and illustration.
