Bio
Jakob Andert received the Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degrees from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. His dissertation focused on a real time cycle-to-cycle control of homogeneous charge compression ignition engines. Since 2014, he has been a Junior Professor of mechatronic systems for combustion engines with RWTH Aachen University. In 2021, he was appointed as a Full Professor of mechatronics in mobile propulsion. His teaching and research area’s portfolio ranges from electrified vehicle drives and predictive powertrain control, to the application of artificial intelligence methods, and data science and systems engineering in powertrain development.
