Bio
Jaime C. Pinero works at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, as an Extension Professor in Tree Fruit Entomology / IPM. Jaime's research focuses on applying information from insect sensory ecology and behavior to develop ecologically-based Integrated Pest Management tools and strategies such as attract-and-kill systems. Examples include odor-baited trap trees for plum curculio, mass trapping for Japanese beetles and Chrysomelid beetles, and bait stations for tephritid fruit flies.
