Bio
Jaclyn Martindale, DO is a movement disorder specialist who is the founder and director of Wake Forest’s Pediatric Movement Clinic as well as the Tic and Tourette Specialty Clinic. She received her Pediatrics and Child Neurology training at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. She is an Assistant Professor in the Wake Forest Department of Neurology and the associate program director of the child neurology residency. Dr. Martindale’s clinical focus is centered upon improving the well-being and health outcomes of individuals with Tourette Syndrome (TS).
Dr. Martindale is passionate about leveraging social media for career development and advancing digital education initiatives. Dr. Martindale leads the social media strategy for the Child Neurology Society as a member of the Electronic Communications Committee and is the administrator of the Society’s twitter account. Dr. Martindale also has an interest in digital education, education that lies solely in the digital space. She is working to create a faculty development course on leveraging digital education for the modern day learner. Complimentary to this, she created and chairs the Digital Committee of the Professors and Educators of Child Neurology to increase social media presence of clinician-educators and digital education initiatives.
