Bio
The research in our group is focused on designing and synthesizing new nanoscopic environments and to carry out very specific reactions that can be controlled precisely with the help of external stimuli. Our multidisciplinary nature of research will incorporate Synthetic strategy, Host-guest chemistry, Molecular (chiral / biomolecular) recognition, Supramolecular Photochemistry and Photophysics to probe novel architectures at the nanoscopic level. We use molecular tools and spectroscopic techniques to gain deeper understanding of molecular interactions in chemical and biological systems. Students and postdoctoral fellows in our group will have the opportunity to receive hands-on training in a broad range of scientific aspects that include synthesis, asymmetric molecular recognition; Design and development of nanoscopic reactors and organic materials, Optical techniques; Host-Guest systems; and developing photosystems for Bio-applications.
