Bio
Dr. Justo José Roberts is an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and member of the Research and Development Group on Geotechnologies and Energy at the National University of Mar del Plata (UNMdP), Argentina. He obtained his Master (2012) and Ph.D. (2016) degrees in mechanical engineering (energy use orientation) from the State University of São Paulo, Campus Guaratinguetá, Brazil and graduated in electromechanical engineering from the National University of Mar del Plata, Argentina in 2008.
Dr. Roberts has research experience in Renewable Energy, Distributed Generation, Energy Planning, Simulation and Optimization of Energy Systems. Acting on the following subjects: Assessment of the Potential and Planning of Wind, Solar and Biomass Projects; Hybrids Renewable Energy Systems; Energetic Analysis of Thermal Systems; Cogeneration; Computational Simulation; Metaheuristic Techniques applied to Optimization and Energy Management.
Dr. Roberts has a post-doctorate at the CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council) where he developed a decision-making methodology that integrates multi-objective optimization and multi-criteria decision to assist in the selection of the best electricity supply alternative for small rural populations or isolated consumers. He is also a full professor teaching Circuit Analysis, Electrical Machines and Power Transformer Design for undergraduate engineering students.
