Bio
John R. Jameson received the B.A. degree in mathematics from the College of Wooster, Wooster, OH, the B.S. degree in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from Stanford University, Stanford, CA. His doctoral work, carried out under James Plummer and Walter Harrison, focused on the physical origin of electrical instabilities in high-$k$ gate dielectrics.
He was a Postdoctoral Researcher with Yoshio Nishi with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, where he studied resistance-change RAM and related memory technologies. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor with the Center for Nanostructures, Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA, and a Visiting Professor in electrical engineering with Stanford University. His current research interests include the physics of metal oxides, noise and instabilities in electronic devices, nonvolatile memory, superconducting electronics, and the use of carbon nanotubes as vias and interconnects.
