My research interests focuses on applying micrometeorological techniques to study turbulent exchange processes at the surface-boundary-layer (surface-atmosphere) involving heat, water vapor, pesticides, CO2, methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O). Eddy covariance-based techniques supports new and improved understanding of surface energy balance exchange over diverse agricultural and heterogeneous landscapes. Spatial scales of mass and scalar fluxes are enhanced by integrating and supporting remote sensing studies designed to estimate regional scales of water vapor, CO2, energy exchange and trace gas flux processes by providing ground-truth measurements to validate remotely sensed flux model estimates using data acquired from UAV, aircraft and satellite-based measurement platforms. I balance my cerebral efforts with physical activities of weight-lifting and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP).
