Prof. Jean-Paul LATGÉ used to be the head of Aspergillus Unit of at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and currently is the visiting scientist of IMCAS as a co-principal investigator (PI) with Prof. Jin. Their researches mainly focus on the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Immunology of the human opportunistic fungal pathegon Aspergillus fumigatus, especially on modification (glycosylation) and transportation of proteins and their roles in organization and remodeling of cell wall polysaccharides during morphogenesis and infection. This group also works on polysaccharides biosynthesis (capsular polysaccharide) of bacteria and protein glycosylation of archaea.
