个人简介
Johannes Oeffner received the B.Sc. degree in biology from the University of Münster, Münster, Germany, in 2007 and the M.Sc. degree in biomimetics/locomotion in fluids from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, Bremen, Germany, in 2009.
He is currently leading the team “Maritime Technologies and Biomimetics” with the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Service (Fraunhofer CML), Hamburg, Germany. His team focuses on developing green technologies to increase energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental impact and on prototyping innovative biomimetic solutions and robotic applications. Before joining the Fraunhofer CML, he was a Hydroacoustics Scientist with a research institute in New Zealand, participating in experimental research surveys and being involved in signal processing, data handling, and analysis. He has coauthored several scientific articles on biomimetics—i.e., on sensing and friction reduction—fluid dynamics, hydroacoustics, and autonomous navigation systems. He initiated and coordinated the EU-Project AIRCOAT with the aim to develop a biomimetic air lubricating hull coating that reduce hull friction to reduce energy use and emissions of ships.
