Jose Luis Pontes Correia Neves currently worked in Design Automation, IBM for over 20 years leading teams in tool development. In the last 10 years he also participated in the physical design of every z processor, designing clock distribution networks, unit physical design and chip level timing, power and noise closure. While in DA he did research in Algorithms, Computer Architecture and Distributed Computing. Their most recent publication is 'IBM z14™: 14nm microprocessor for the next-generation mainframe'. I the past two years he has been working with AI and the application of DNN to database SQL queries.
