个人简介
My main area of expertise is theoretical and computational Condensed Matter Physics with present interest in graphene and 2D crystals, topological insulators, molecular electronics and nanoelectronics. I graduated in Physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1989 and received my PhD at the same university in 1993 working on the electronic and transport properties of semiconductor quantum dots and on the quantum Hall effect (integer and fractional). I continued working on the same topics as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Research Council (Canada), Indiana University (USA), and Kentucky University (USA), where I started working on vortex matter in mesoscopic superconductivity. At the Universidad de Alicante, where I worked for almost 10 years, I was an early player in the field of molecular electronics and quantum transport from first principles, developing a collection of codes freely distributed under the common denomination ANT (Atomistic NanoTransport). I am the author of over 150 publications which have received over 9100 citations (Google Scholar). My current h index is 44 (Google Scholar).
