She has widely studied the validity of remotely-sensed wind speeds and the ocean-atmosphere exchange of CO2 at a large scale using both satellite (wind speeds, sea surface temperature, and ocean color) and in situ data (in particular, carbon-interface ocean-atmosphere autonomous drifters, CARIOCA).Since 1999, she is involved in the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity Mission. She participated in the development of an L-band sea surface emissivity model and in several airborne campaigns (WISE and EuroSTARRS). She coordinates the scientific activities of the French SMOS-Ocean team, of the European Space Agency (ESA) Climate Change Initiative Sea Surface Salinity project and participates in the ESA Expert Support Laboratories that define and validate the processing of SMOS Level two measurements for the retrieval of Sea Surface Salinity.
