His projects included assisting industrial and academic materials research, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of nanocrystalline thin films, and polymer studies. He also taught TEM, scanning electron microscopy, and specimen preparation laboratory courses. He has more than 10 patents and has coauthored more than 50 papers. His current interests include device failure analysis, thin-film growth, TEM, and atomic force microscopy.
