Bio
Dr Ivana Bojić was born on August 31, 1976. in Nis. She lives and works in Niš, is not married and has no children. She graduated from "Edvard Kardelj" elementary school (today "Sveti Sava" elementary school) and "Stevan Sremac" high school in Niš in 1995. She enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy, the study group for physical education in Nis in the academic year 1995/96. She graduated on 20.12.1999., as the first student from the generation, with an average grade of 8.63 during her studies and a grade of 10 for graduate work. She enrolled in her master's studies, majoring in sports, in the academic year 2000/01. She defended her master's thesis entitled "A Model of Situational Motoric Abilities of Serbia and Montenegro handball players" on June 1, 2005. and earned the academic title of Master of Science in Physical Education. She defended her doctoral dissertation entitled "The Impact of Specially Programmed Training Process on Basic Coordinational and Specific Motoric Abilities of Young Female Handball Players" on November 3, 2008.
At the Faculty of Physical Education in Niš, she was first elected to the position of collaborator as a legal assistant on the subject Handball on May 1, 2000, and then as an assistant in the subject Sports training on 30.11.2007. at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education in Niš. She was elected to the position of assistant professor on November 24, 2010. year, and then to the title of associate professor (July 10, 2015) on the subject Sports Training Methodology. After being elected to the position of full professor in the same subject (July 31, 2020), she still works at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Niš. She has been a long-term associate in the realization of practical teaching of Skiing at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Nis.
She is the author of practicum, textbook and a large number of researh papers in the field of sports science, published in international and national scientific journals.
At the proposal of the members of the Department, by the decision of the Dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education (from 11.10.2013 and 11.10.2016), she was appointed as the Head of the Department of Theoretical and Methodological Subjects, and from 09.10.2018. until today as the Head of the Council of the Department of Theoretical and Methodological Subjects.
She played handball professionally in the period from 1987 to 2004 (HC "Duvanska industrija Niš", later "Naisa" from Niš). She passed all club selections, from pioneer to senior, and was a member of the junior national team of Serbia. With the club of the same name, she participated in the European club competitions Cup Winners' Cup, EHF Cup and European Champions League. In the national championship, with the team HC "Naisa" from Niš, she won the Cup of Serbia and Montenegro (season 2003/2004). After completing her active sports career, she was a member of the professional council at HC "Naisa" in 2005 - 2006, and then coach of the younger categories of girls in the club of the same name (2006 - 2010), with whom she achieved significant results at national championships.
