Bio
Dr. Godage is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing, DePaul University, Chicago, USA. He holds a Ph.D. in Robotics, Cognition, and Interaction Technologies from the Italian Institute of Technology-University of Genova (2013 - supervisor Prof Darwin Caldwell).Prior to his current appointment, he held an Adjoint Assistant Professorship at Vanderbilt University, Postdoctoral Research Scholarships under Prof. Robert J. Webster III at Vanderbilt University and Prof. Ian D. Walker at Clemson University. His research interests are soft modular robotics, surgical robotics, modeling and analysis of continuum structures, and underactuated system control/ coordination through energy-based methods.
Dr. Godage is the PI of an ongoing NSF-funded project to study soft modular robots using stiff and compliant materials.
