I am a Senior Research Scientist at the Wikimedia Foundation. My research interests bounce around but primarily revolve around how societal inequalities are preserved in online platforms like Wikipedia or OpenStreetMap. I seek to better understand how different design decisions in the algorithms underlying these platforms might change who can benefit from them. I often approach this through geography.
