Iris Behrmann

Iris Behrmann is professor for Biochemistry at the University of Luxembourg and head of the Department of Life Sciences and Medicine. She completed her PhD and post-doctoral training at the German Cancer Research Centre in Heidelberg. In 1994, she became junior group leader at the Institute of Biochemistry at the RWTH Aachen Medical School and she joined the University of Luxembourg in 2003. Her research interests focus on cytokines and their signal transduction in cancer and inflammation, integrating the topics of non-coding RNAs, the therapeutic targeting of cancer and drug resistance.
