个人简介
Innocent B. Mboya (Ph.D.) is an associate researcher and postdoctoral fellow, in register-based epidemiology, at the Department of Translational Medicine, Lund University, Sweden. He is currently investigating age- and time-trends of the association between body mass index and mortality using nationwide data from the Obesity and Disease Development Sweden (ODDS) study. He also worked as a Lecturer at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo) in the department of epidemiology and applied biostatistics, Institute of Public Health (IPH), Moshi, Tanzania. Innocent has about ten years of experience as a researcher, project coordinator, and trainer. His experience ranges from public health, epidemiology and applied biostatistics, quality assurance of routine HIV care and treatment and childhood immunization data, assessment of COVID-19 vaccine uptake (among healthcare workers and general Tanzanian community members), Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (investigating risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes), non-communicable diseases (e.g., cervical cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and mental health screening), HIV infection in key populations, and healthcare provider workload. In addition, Innocent has experience in coordinating and conducting community-based surveys related to the nutritional status of children under five years of age, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, non-communicable diseases, and monitoring and evaluation of projects at local and national levels. With a background in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, he possesses diverse data management and analysis skills using Stata, SPSS, R, and RDSAT (for analysis of data from key populations). Innocent has authored several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and scientific abstracts presented at international and national forums.
