Bio
My research interests focus on four main topics that are strongly connected to the vision of the Department of Structural Engineering in leading the development of the Critical Infrastructures of modern economies such as the Israeli Economy to continuous, sustainable, and resilient development.
Critical Facilities Management and Maintenance – My research team in the last fifteen years developed cutting-edge analytical models for operation, management and maintenance of critical infrastructures such as hospitals, clinics, and government facilities in a robust, resilient, efficient and cost-effective mode.
Extreme Events Engineering and Management – This research topic we focus in development of analytical tools for Damage and Risk Management models for Critical Infrastructures such as Oil and Gas processing facilities to Extreme Events such as Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and Terror events. Probabilistic and Stochastic tools are being developed and implemented for risk assessment and management of extreme events in critical infrastructures.
Life Cycle Costs – In his topic we focus in the development of Service Life Prediction models for exterior and interior building components. This research contributed to advanced planning of the Life Cycle of buildings in general and Critical Infrastructures in particular
Construction Safety Management – This research topic develops and introduces advanced tools for safety control through integration of engineering tools in the safety procedure so as to promote the synergy between safety and Quality.
