Bio
BSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering and MSc in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering and Architecture at the University of Naples “Federico II”. She obtained her PhD in "Risk and Sustainability in Civil, Environmental and Building Systems" at the University of Salerno, where she carried out scientific research on innovative truss structures using tensegrity technique and on the kinematics and the equilibrium of masonry buildings. Ida has participated in a number of international research programs focusing her research on the topics of mitigation of risk from natural hazards, and monitoring and control of dynamic behaviour of cable bridge and curved miscrostructures (Department of Structures for Engineering and Architecture of University of Naples “Federico II”). She is actively working on the static and dynamic stability of elastic structures, with particular focus on thin walled structures.
