Bio
I took my studies at the University of The Basque Country (EHU/UPV, San Sebastian, Spain), where I graduated with honors and earned my PhD in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jesus M. Aizpurua working on peptidomimetics in 2011. During this period, I participated in several international training programs. In 2005, I joined the Department of Metal-Mediated Synthesis at Utrecht University (The Netherlands) as an undergraduate exchange student, where I worked on ruthenium complexes. In 2010, I joined the group of Prof. David R. Spring at Cambridge University (UK) as a visiting PhD student where I worked on new synthetic methodologies. In 2011, I joined CIDETEC (San Sebastian, Spain) and currently I work as a senior researcher and project manager in the Polymers & Composite Unit. I have been working on materials for energy and CO2 capture. Currently, I am involved in the development of sustainable materials from renewable sources and new dynamic chemistries looking for new functionalities (e.g. recyclability). I have co-authored 23 scientific papers, a patent and a book-chapter.
