Hyok J. Song (S’95–M’01) received the B.E., M.Eng.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 1995, 1998, and 2001, respectively.
He is currently a Senior Research Staff Engineer with the Applied Electromagnetics Laboratory at HRL Laboratories LLC, Malibu, CA, USA, where he performs research in the field of antennas, applied electromagnetic and EMC/EMI. His primary research interests are small antennas, tunable antennas, transparent film antennas and active matching circuits. His other research interests include EMC and EMI problems in vehicles with a hybrid or electric propulsion architecture. He holds 3 U.S. patents and is a (co)author of two book chapters and more than 40 refereed journal/conference papers in the fields of antennas and applied electromagnetic.
