Hyeoneui Kim received the BS degree in nursing (BSN) and the master’s degree in public health (MPH) from Seoul National University, South Korea. She received the PhD degree in health informatics from the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities. She received post-doctoral training from Brigham and the Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was an associate professor in the Division of Biomedical Informatics at UC San Diego and currently is an associate professor at the Duke University School of Nursing. Her research focuses on standardized data representation, secondary use of healthcare data, clinical informatics, and consumer health informatics.
