Huw Peacock is the Aboriginal Strategic Engagement Officer at the University of Tasmania. With a background in pedagogy, education, and analytical sociology, Huw has made substantial contributions to these fields through his research and academic publications. He holds a Master of Arts - Research Masters from the University of Tasmania, where his thesis focused on the importance of culture and significant others in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children's education.
In his current role as the Aboriginal Strategic Engagement Officer, Huw is responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies that support the university's Strategic Plan for Aboriginal Engagement. His work centers around enhancing Indigenous knowledge, supporting Indigenous students, and fostering an inclusive environment within the university community.
Huw has been an active researcher, contributing to data collection, literature reviews, and the writing of research papers. His research has been published in esteemed academic journals, highlighting his expertise in the field of Indigenous education.
