Hugo Gonçalves. Completed the Doutoramento in Física (MAP-FIS) in 2019/02 by Universidade do Minho, Mestrado integrado in Biofísica e Bionanossistemas in 2013/12 by Universidade do Minho and Licenciatura in Física in 2010 by Universidade do Minho. Published 17 articles in journals. Organized 2 events. Has received 1 award. Participates as PhD Student Fellow in 1 project and Research Fellow in 4 projects. Works in the areas of Exact Sciences with emphasis on Physical Sciences, Atomic physics and Optics, Natural sciences with emphasis on Biological Sciences and Biophysics. • Outstanding ability to analyse, gather, write, evaluate, and produce detailed reports on critical projects. • Strong skills in conducting original research, providing data analysis, evaluating, and then developing viable solutions for integration into the market. • Expertise working with leading investigators in the field of Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry and Biology. • Interact effectively with scientists and managers. Ability to quickly adapt to people and institutions at all levels. • Key research expertise areas include: Graphene, Spectroscopy, Lasers, Nonlinear Optics, Plasmonics Spin-coating, Electrospinning, Biophysics, Computational Physics Methods, Computer programming and Chemistry. Currently works at Paralab an Iberian company in the field of scientific instrumentation as Head of Contract Analysis and Application Specialist. The major activity focus in giving support for external customers in material characterization. As an application specialist gives training in advanced techniques in site to customers. At Paralab, he acquired advanced training in the following instrumental analysis techniques: - Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM); - X-Ray Diffraction (XRD); - X-Ray Fluorescence – Energy dispersion (ED-XRF) and Wavelength dispersion (WD-XRF); - Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR); - Gas Chromatography with Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS); - Thermal analysis: Thermogravimetry (TG) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC);- Laser Diffraction (LS) - Dynamic Laser Diffraction (DLS) - Electrophoretic light scattering (ELS)
